Islands & Ice Travel was founded by David Sinclair in Australia’s beautiful Antarctic gateway city of Hobart. David has travelled extensively over the past three decades to over 60 countries and has participated in over 65 expeditions to the polar regions alone as a guide, photographer, expedition leader and host. David has a keen sense of what makes for a great itinerary and fantastic expedition experience whether it be for the first time traveller or a photographer looking for an intimate encounter with a special species.
Islands & Ice Travel partners with like-minded regional experts and experienced and passionate guides to identify unique expeditions that maximise opportunities to explore, experience and capture the beauty of a destination. We encourage a flexible mindset to maximise opportunities. We know how wonderful it can be to experience a sunrise in the company of thousands of penguins or staying up late to witness a polar bear roaming the pack ice under the midnight sun.
We also offer private expedition support whether it be for scientific expeditions, documentary film-making or private tours for discerning travellers.
