Experience the extraordinary beauty and abundant wildlife of the Svalbard Archipelago on the beautiful MV Vikingfjord. With a maximum of 12 guests this beautifully appointed environmentally friendly vessel is the perfect platform to explore Svalbard in the company of like-minded explorers who appreciate the intimacy of small ship travel.

MV Vikingfjord can accomodate 12 guests in 8 ensuite cabins. The vessel was recently refurbished with beautiful interior finishes and a sauna and outdoor hot tub. She is an excellent platform for keen photographers with outstanding outdoor deck access and quick deployment time compared to larger vessels with many multiples of guests and zodiacs. In addition, MV Vikingfjord has been fitted with a new and efficient engine.

Day 1 – We will board MV Vikingfjord in Longyearbyen and sail down Isfjorden to start our voyage of exploration.

Expedition Days – We will explore the Svalbard archipelago by ship, zodiac and foot to experience all of the raw and natural beauty of the otherworldly high Arctic landscape rich in wildlife, history and delicate tundra flora. Our experienced polar guides will be on the lookout for Polar Bear, Walrus, Reindeer, Arctic Fox, a range of whales including Beluga, Fin and Humpback and a variety of birdlife including Guillemots, Puffins, Fulmars, Kittiwakes, Eider Ducks, Phalaropes and more.

Final Day – Disembarkation in Longyearbyen
