Experience the offseason. Led by award-winning Arctic and Aurora photographer Virgil Reglioni, this expedition is for photographers and those who love to experience remote wilderness in comfort and style.

After a warm breakfast, each day promises new vistas and activities with choices including snow-shoeing, kayaking, zodiac cruising, hiking, stand-up paddle boarding, polar plunging and cross-country skiing. At dusk, enjoy wool blankets and hot cocktails on deck followed by an aurora photo session.

We will chase the beautiful winter light and the ethereal aurora borealis along the Norwegian coast, traversing the coast between Tromso to the extraordinary Lofoten Islands and back. This expedition will be led by renowned landscape and northern lights photographer, Virgil Reglioni. Virgil lives in Tromso and spends his time between Northern Norway, Lapland, Greenland and Svalbard, guiding and teaching photography.

Our base Camp will be the extraordinary Captain Arctic. Captain Arctic is a next-generation, environmentally friendly 36-passenger expedition vessel that sets a new standard in sustainable polar travel. Purpose-built for remote regions like Svalbard, Greenland and Arctic Norway, she combines wind propulsion and large solar-integrated sails with electric drive and advanced energy systems to cut emissions by up to around 90 % compared with conventional ships.
