Islands & Ice Travel specialises in small group travel from the icy expanses of the polar regions to remote tropical islands in the South Pacific. Partnering with like-minded regional experts and experienced, passionate guides, we create small group trips which maximise opportunities to explore some of the world’s most stunning and remote locations and unique, native wildlife.

Our trips are designed to experience a destination in depth, to disconnect from daily life and reconnect with nature. For Islands & Ice Travel, the ultimate luxury is having the time and space to have a truly immersive wilderness experience with a small group of like-minded travellers. 

In addition to advertised trips, utilising our network of expedition logistics experts we can customise itineraries for groups and the most discerning clients looking for truly unique experiences.  We also cater to scientific research, film production, milestone and corporate events (always subject to obtaining mandatory permits and strictly abiding by relevant environmental and operational regulations).

Islands & Ice Travel’s founder, David Sinclair, traded a career as a corporate lawyer to set up the business.  He has travelled extensively, including over 60 trips to the polar regions as an expedition leader, guide, naturalist and expedition photographer. He draws upon his extensive guiding experience, intimate knowledge of destinations and eye for beauty honed as a wildlife and landscape photographer to design and deliver exceptional personalised experiences and create lifelong memories.
