Swim with Gentle Giants in Tropical Tonga

Every year humpback whales migrate to Tonga to give birth in the tropical waters of Vava’u and Ha’apai.  The warm waters provide a safe environment for the new-born calves. Experienced guides and crew will help us locate, observe and capture fabulous images of diverse behaviour both from our vessel and in the water in the coastal waters of Vava’u.  We will also have the opportunity to explore coral reefs and may encounter other marine megafauna.  We will have 7 days on the water to maximise time for quantity and quality encounters, and ten nights in peaceful waterfront accommodation. Read more about a visit to Vava’u in posts on the Explorer’s Journal page.
